How we build

You have a voice here.

We build with the people who use our apps, not just for them. Here's what that means in practice.

  1. Your reports are the product.

    GreensReport runs on what golfers see on the course. Courses can't edit, hide or remove what golfers report.

  2. Your ideas set the roadmap.

    Feature requests go on a running list we actually build from. The GreensReport iPhone app exists because golfers asked for it.

  3. You reach the person who builds it.

    No ticket queue, no call center. Every message to the studio is read by the person who decides what gets built next.

Why 1748

Two states. One studio.

1748 isn't a year. It's the order Ohio and Arizona joined the Union, and the two places that made this studio what it is.

OHIO · 1983 TO 2012

Ohio joined the Union as the 17th state in 1803. For our founder it was home for nearly three decades, from 1983 to 2012.

The buckeye in our emblem is Ohio's state tree, and the nut Ohioans carry in their pockets for luck. It stands for where we come from: Midwestern work ethic and doing the job right the first time.

ARIZONA · 2012 TO TODAY

Arizona joined as the 48th state in 1912, the last of the lower 48. It's been home since 2012, and it's where every Studio 1748 app is built.

The saguaro stands for the desert we build in and the community around us: the golfers, neighbors and early users who shape what we make.
